On Windows 11 it captures regions, windows and the full screen, records the screen, extracts text and, in recent versions, picks colours and exports short recordings as GIF. Questions and answers
Can PrintScreen open QuickCapture instead of Snipping Tool?
Yes. On Windows 11, open Settings › Accessibility › Keyboard and turn off “Use the Print screen key to open screen capture”. QuickCapture detects the setting and shows a button that opens this page for you.
Can I use QuickCapture and Snipping Tool on the same PC?
Yes. They are separate programs. QuickCapture never takes a shortcut another program already uses: if Snipping Tool owns PrintScreen, QuickCapture tells you, and you can pick another key or change the other program's setting.
